Common Camp Questions:
How early should I arrive for camp?
Please do not arrive early for camp, our program is designed for our timeframe. We use the time before camp starts to set up and communicate as a team!
What ages are allowed in the summer camps?
All kids aged 6 to 15 are welcome to participate in our summer programs!
Can my child participate in both morning surf & skate/afternoon surf?
Yes! We have many kids who participate in both the morning surf and afternoon skate. We don't usually recommend doing both surf sessions, it can be too much.
Where is the skate camp located?
Pacifica Skate Park, 540 Crespi Dr. Pacifica, CA 94044
What gear is provided?
We provide a wetsuit, surfboard & boogie board. We do not provide surf booties.
If my child is in both morning surf and skate, what should they bring?
Clothes to change into
Lunch (please do not give them money for Taco Bell)
Water
Their skate stuff (board, full set of pads)
Towel
Closed toe shoes
What do I need bring to Surf Camp?

What if my child is going to be late to camp?

Do campers need to be signed in/out every day?
Yes, safety is our number one priority. We require a parent/guardian to check in their camper(s) at the start of camp and check them out at pickup. We need to know that campers are leaving with a trusted guardian!
General Questions:
Where do we meet?
For all surf programs we meet at Linda Mar beach in Pacifica in parking lot B. Here are specific instructions
For all skate programs we meet at the Pacifica Skate Park
How good of a swimmer do I need to be?
Adults will need to be able to swim with your head above water and must be able to swim to shore.
Smaller kids and weaker swimmers will be kept in shallow waters and will be accompanied by an instructor the entire time.
How early should I arrive for a lesson?
No need to arrive any earlier then your chosen start time!
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
For all camps:
More then 3 weeks from camp start date: $50 non-refundable cancellation fee. No penalty for rescheduling
1-2 weeks before camp start date: 50% refund for any cancellation. No penalty for rescheduling
Within 72 hours before camp start date: No refunds, rescheduling may be considered depending on the situation.
After camp start date: no refunds whatsoever, rescheduling may be considered depending on the situation
For lessons:
More than 48 hours before start time: $30 non-refundable cancellation fee (per person). Requests to reschedule are granted at no cost, given there is availability.
24-48 hours before start time: 50% refund, requests to reschedule are granted at no cost, given there is availability.
Less than 24 hours before start time: No refunds or rescheduling

Do you rent gear?
No we do not, you can rent gear at Sonlight Surf Shop or NorCal Surf Shop.
However gear rental is included in ALL programs provided by SCP
